Men

Men were created to lead. God’s Word calls them to lead in marriage (Eph. 5:22-24), in the home (1 Tim. 3:4-5, 12), and in the church (1 Tim. 2:12; 3:1-7). At HRBC, it is our aim to equip men to be those godly leaders that the Lord has called them to be.
While nothing can replace the public preaching of the Word, the study of God’s Word among a small group of believers is vital to the development of one’s faith. That is exactly what the Men’s Ministry does every Spring and Fall. One night a week for approximately two months, the men of the church will gather to study through a book of the Bible or a book from a godly Bible teacher. This is an edifying time for the men as they challenge one another to grow deeper in their walk with Christ.

The men of HRBC also see the importance of reaching out to the community with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Reaching the community with the gospel requires more than a planned event; it requires a person intentionally living in such a way that they preach the Good News with their actions and words. One way that our Men’s Ministry tries to be a shining light in the community is through our Work Teams. The Work Teams are designed to meet the physical needs of our local community, which could range from helping cut up a fallen tree in someone’s yard to putting on a new roof. Overall, the goal of these teams is to live out the gospel of Jesus Christ in service and love.

God is moving in a great way among the men of Heucks Retreat Baptist Church and opening up more doors to minister in and through them for His glory!
