Music

Worshipping God through the singing of songs and playing of instruments is seen throughout the pages of Scripture. Colossians 3:16 commands us to sing “psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.” Our music ministry is one that is far-reaching, stretching from the children’s choir to the adult choir. Regardless of your age or experience, there is a spot for you to serve God through music.

The Righteous Rockers, our children’s choir, is led by Courtney Owens. They gather together on Sunday evenings at 5 PM and have an absolute blast singing praises to their Father in heaven. Righteous Rockers is a fun and exciting time for the children to grow in their faith by singing truth that is founded upon the Word of God.

The adult choir of Heucks Retreat Baptist Church is a very talented group under the direction of the Minister of Music.  The adult choir leads the congregation every Sunday morning in corporate worship and puts on various musical programs throughout the year. Though our church may be relatively small, the Lord has truly blessed Heucks Retreat with many musically gifted members.

As you can see, there are many opportunities to serve the music ministry so pick a group and dive in.
